About the Fighing Phantoms

Our mission: Fellowship through Gaming.

The Fighting Phantoms Squadron was formed in April of 2008. Even though our name is fairly new some of the members of this family of friends have known each other since 2001.

Currently our primary games are IL2 Sturmovik 1946 and COD World at War. We also enjoy the older COD series as well as Battlefield 2 and 2142.

Our mission statement implies our basic gaming philosophy which is achieved by demonstrating friendliness, sportsmanship and a willingness to assist other people.

We hope that you enjoy your time spent here.

Medal Qualifications Update

Attention all flyers... the 2009 Qual season is halfway to completion! The current qualifications are 4 man Air Combat and 4 man Bomber Escort in addition to a challenging new qual Night Carrier! Remember we are still also running previuos quals, for any who would like to catch up. Stay tuned for the mid-season standings!

6/2009 UPDATE!!!!!! From the devious/masterful mind of =FP=Revless comes the new challenging 4 man missions, air combat and an oldie from the past the bomber escort. Showing no fear for the air combat, the great fighters of =FP= showed the enemies a thing or two, with a bronze medal for =FP=Vetshouse, silver for =FP= Revless and =FP=Vultree, and for our golden child =FP=Hypno, a gold of course.

MPI_DeadAgain showed us how it was done for the 4 man bomber, a shiny gold one at that. In addition, the challenging new Night Carrier qual was unveiled this past month... a true beauty to fly and a true challenge. =FP=Revless earned the first medal, a bronze!!!! These websites will be added shortly!!! Coming Soon! so enjoy the air combat page until then!

We would like to invite everyone to come try to earn these medals. Not only is it very rewarding, but if you are a new pilot this is an awesome way of learning the different techniques and skills required to fly the "not so friendly" skies. If you want to practice the qualification missions they are available for download in the IL-2 Missions Download section. You must be a registered user in order to download content from this site
