2008 Top Ace award

In order to earn the the Carrier Land and Take-off III medals, a pilot must complete the daunting task of taking off from the carrier deck, raising their wheels and flaps and resuming normal flight. The pilot must then circle around and perform a perfect landing on the designated carrier.

OFFICIAL QUAL RULES

1. TAKE OFF FROM RED CARRIER, RAISE GEAR AND FLAPS. LAND ON THE OTHER CARRIER.

2. YOU GET 4 ATTEMPTS TO LAND. NO BROKEN WHEELS, PROPS, WINGS OR ANY OTHER PARTS.

3. A TOUCH AND GO TAKEOFF ON DECK WITHOUT DAMAGE IS NOT CONSIDERED AS AN ATTEMPT AND THE PLAYER MAY CIRCLE BACK AND MAKE ANOTHER ATTEMPT.

4. ONCE THE PLANE HAS LANDED, HIT RESTART AND RESPAWN ON THE DECK FOR THE NEXT ATTEMPT. CRASHING ON TAKE OFF IS CONSIDERED AS A LOST ATTEMPT.

5. 2 LANDINGS OUT OF 4 GIVES YOU A BRONZE AWARD, 3 OUT OF 4 GIVES YOU A SILVER AND 4 OUT OF 4 GIVES YOU THE GOLD MEDAL WITH RIBBON.

6. YOU GET TWO TRIES PER DAY (4 ATTEMPTS EACH)

7. THE QUALIFICATION ATTEMPT MUST BE WITNESSED BY ANOTHER PLAYER TO BE RECOGNIZED.

8. IF THERE ARE TO BE ANY OBSERVERS THEY ARE TO SPAWN ON THE BLUE CARRIER ON THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER OF THE MAP. OBSERVERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE ANY COMMENTS OR COACHING ONCE THE PLAYER STARTS TO MOVE HIS PLANE AND LANDS.
